14 2026-05-12 MINUTE entry before the Honorable LaShonda A. Hunt: Plaintiff has filed an amended complaint naming one defendant [13] and a notice of withdrawal of its motion for leave to seal [12]. In light of the notice of withdrawal, Plaintiff's motion to seal [3] is withdrawn, and the Clerk is directed, forthwith, to unseal the document at [2]. Having reviewed the amended complaint, the Court questions whether Plaintiff has sufficiently alleged that the Court can exercise personal jurisdiction over the defendant. To adequately plead personal jurisdiction, Plaintiff must sufficiently allege that the defendants actually sold the allegedly infringing product to a customer in Illinois. See Liu v. Monthly, 170 F.4th 1090, 1093-1094 (7th Cir. 2026) (citing Curry v. Revolution Lab'ys, LLC, 949 F.3d 385, 400 (7th Cir. 2020)). The complaint alleges sales in this district, but those allegations are conclusory, and Plaintiff did not provide proof of actual sales in this district. See id. (remanding with instructions to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction because plaintiff had not provided screenshot evidence of actual sales in Illinois). Accordingly, before this case may proceed, Plaintiff must file either a second amended complaint or supplemental statement establishing a basis for personal jurisdiction by 5/19/26. Failure to comply with this order may result in this action being dismissed without prejudice for lack of personal jurisdiction. Mailed notice (gel,)
